Haven't gotten to watch alot of games this season, but that's the best one I've seen.

Nice to see Matthews finding ways to score, Where's that shot of his though? As long as they're going in im not complaining.

Great win. Liljegren was a godsend on defense, Nylander on fire tonight. Matthews potting two like Matthews does.

- Liljergen looked amazing. I was worried he would have some rust but he didn't look out of place
- Matthews is finding his scoring touch again, Mitch is still fighting it a bit imo
- We absolutely locked the Bruins down 5v5

Very gutsy finish in the third period.

Held my tongue during the game but the Bruins didn't really look very good. Maybe they didn't get up for the Leafs but they look like the same okay team as last year. The Samsonov injury really created some extra adversity though. I guess now with NAK gone they'll have to sign someone straight away.

Great effort defensively, particularly late in the game. Held the league leading Bruins to just 21 shots, no shots the last PP, and only one shot with the goalie pulled.

Great full effort by the leafs tonight.

The big boys came to play. Matthews 2 goals, Marner 2 assists, Nylander 1 assist, Tavares was active throughout.

4th line was fantastic. Malgin and ZAR looked great on the cycle. Kampf was great at holding the lead.

Defensively we looked great. Giordano with a key block on the penalty kill.

Against a team with one loss, Leafs built some confidence by shutting it down, the injury to Samsonov probably contributed to this mindset.

Matthews starting to lock in. Leafs get back a key cog in their D and the team reverted back to a style that is successful come playoffs.

You know what made him excellent tonight? He didn't try to freewheel or create any offense. Just stayed in his little defensive role and did what was required. Played within his limitations.

Also pretty huge to score on the powerplay for the winning goal. Boston's PK was first in the league at an amazing 95%
