We were the better team again, the fact we were that close to losing shows you just how hard it is to beat a team with a goalie going through a hot patch

Great redemption arc for Wee Willy Nylander and a nice solid game for Hutchinson in goal

It goes to show you even below average goaltenders can look good if you commit to sound defensive fundamentals and work your ass off in front of them

This is one of the biggest differences between Keefe and Babcock. Nylander deserves blame on the 1-0 goal, but Keefe instead of benching him, knows he can also make up for it quickly in a crucial situation, and Willy wins a game for the team.
Good work by coach and Willy.

These last two games from Barabanov has changed my opinion of him. Not sure what has changed, but he is effective... good even.

Vesey and the Gazelle can eff off... don't need them on this team. They bring practically nothing.

Any chance Mikheyev needs Lasik?

idk, Holl gave Dermott a pass that was too hot to handle and then he got outnumbered down low. Engvall was terrible, turning the wrong way and Nylander needed to get on top of the guy alone right in front of him.

I at the time attributed it to Dermott, mostly. He was in full panic mode and had no clue what to do.

Matthews and Nylander have always clicked. Just Marner is the superior winger and they click better. That said, Tavares struggles way more without Marner driving his line. Some days not sure what to do with JT as he's aging and his contract is going to become hard to swallow. At 11 mil he needs to be driving his line, not needing a driver

Carey Price is 46 in SAV %, hes got 5 more years at $10.5M
Panthers are sitting a $10M goalie in favor of Dreiger
Sabres sat out $9M Skinner who has 6 more years on his deal.

John Tavares will be ok. He's not a bad situation like I listed above.

Agree, think we need to take 2/3 from the Oilers at least a split from Canucks and 2/3 from the Jets. Tall order for sure but can be done.
