Nice to win...the other goalie played great too...
but my highlight is watching Reilly's explosiveness.....great acceleration..blue chipper for years to come..

Yeah man, he is so fast! He had some amazing rushes tonight where he was strides ahead of the opposition.. what a great game for him! :yo:

i sound crazy but i'd beg reimer and bernier to play together for their whole career. Brings a tear to my eye seeing both of them play so well.

We're damn lucky to have such great goalies...no whiny punk, they just go about their business every single day. Zero controversy.

Makes me wonder if there was a TeamBower vs. TeamSawchuck thing back in the 60s.

This fanbase is so used to arguing over which goalie is the s***iest that it can't figure out what to do when both are good.

Well, back in the 1960s, we didn't really care who was in net. We just enjoyed seeing our Leafs win. I don't remember any arguments as to which goalie was the best.

Berny is an excellent NHL goalie playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs as well.

I agree with this, actually. Ive contended since we acquired Bernier that we wouldnt be making a move until at least this summer.

Unless we have a bonafied #1 center coming in or a top pairing defenseman, I see no need to make a move on either guy. Goaltending is finally a strength for us, I say we roll with it.

A trio of players had their best games as Toronto Maple Leafs tonight. (In my humble opinion of course)

Morgan Rielly
James Reimer
David Clarkson

The bolded player looked miles better than he ever has tonight.

I find it sad that some posters spent the whole game talking about Ranger even though he wasn't on the ice. When you put all your focus on your scratched bottom pairing defenseman when your team is playing, you are obsessed.

Also have to say that towards the end of the second I was thinking that Reimer hasn't really had to do a lot except the PK. Was very surprised to see the shots at that point. He showed up and made some big saves after that though. He deserves a solid chance now.

There is no circumstance in which Kadri should not be part of our 3 shooters.

I just ignore the childish posts.

I have said all along that I prefer Bernier over Reimer but I am fan of both goalies. If it was possible, I'd keep both of them here for the next 10 years.

We're really lucky to go from one of the worst goaltending dramas (Giguere, Monster, Toskalol, Raycrap etc etc) in the NHL to two of the best.

Ok, so nobody, other than me, saw any of Rielly's blunders?
