I thought Matthews looked dominate last year. Maybe Marner was a bigger part of that then we give credit for, but Matthews does not look like the player who won the MVP a year ago.

Exactly. It was solid. They're on the road. Probably had a few pints and a big dinner yesterday. Still came out looking pretty decent.

Every game they win without their top 3 D guys is great. Might be a blessing in disguise. Gives Sandin and Lilly tons of experience.

Just hope Gio doesn't get tired out and Holl doesn't f*** up too much.

Marner has out performed Matthews every season except for last year. The kid doesn't get the respect he deserves. Even I've been guilty of underrating him in the past.

Matthews needs to get his head out of his rear and start playing like the star he normally is.
 
I'm shocked Murray is in today mostly because we know Keefe likes to play guys against their former teams and tomorrow is Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh.

I wonder why he did this? Is Kallgren hurt? would he really play Murray on back to back nights?

Or is he REALLY going to throw Kallgren to the wolves tomorrow?

That's a risky plan If he does that.

They're very different players.

Last year they were both very good and Matthews was great I mean 60 goals.

This year though Marner has been arguably their best forward. He's on a heater. The top 4 overall have been good. The points aren't as high for Matthews yet but I like they're all back checking too.
