Marner has out performed Matthews every season except for last year. The kid doesn't get the respect he deserves. Even I've been guilty of underrating him in the past.

Oh I think Marner is a world class talent. It's no mistake that he has been a top team allstar. I just thought Matthews was taking the next step after his season last year.

Goal scorers always receive more accolades.

So do Centers compared to wingers, that's why Marner doesn't get the same love as Matthews, but he should.

We all did and Matthews may turn it up as soon as today, but so far Matthews play has just been Good not Great.

Tavares is basically a smaller Sundin, and we have a better center ahead of him. That's what blows my mind that we haven't had more post season success.

Goal scorers and centers get a lot of love. Wingers probably get the least amount after #1 dmen and goalies as well. Unless you're scoring ungodly goal totals like Ovy.

They've got a weird lineup.. I mean, you've got top six guys mixed in the two middle lines.

But their bottom six, in time on ice, for guys playing tonight are;

Marcus Foligno 6 points on season
Nic Petan 1 point on the season
Mason Shaw 6 points
Connor Dewar 5 points
Jordan Greenway 0 points
Ryan Reaves 0 points

I mean, if you think this is a better group than ours, by all means, have at it.

I mean, I like Greenway, but most certainly not at $3 million... that's ridiculous for a guy who is regularly caved in possession, which despite your assertion that it's size that keeps the puck in the opponent's zone, has never been the case for him. He's a borderline good 4th line guy, average to sub par 3rd line guy.

Foligno is a good bottom six guy, love to have him.

I mean you really want that big 5'10" Mason Shaw and Connor Dewar, or 5'9" Petan.. is that what you are lusting for?

And Reaves, is the definition of a useless plug, one of the legit worst NHLers...
