I live perhaps 90 seconds away by car from the CIH where he played prior to being drafted into the OHL. Kid has a great reputation here, great kid.

He was skating pretty well in the earlier game. I think his stride is better than last year. Is he faster? No but he isn’t slower. I think he’s just more efficient in his movement so far.

Great? Errrr.. He's our Yakupov. Skates really hard and works hard but has no idea what to do with the output of energy. He is just chasing the puck all over the ice which doesn't work in the NHL. He has no idea where the puck is going to be. When he gets it, he is left with no space to do anything because he has no idea what to do with the puck beside shoot it.
