the only two troublesome defensive sequences this period have come from Marner being sloppy with the puck trying to stickhandle through guys while skating backwards.
He's just trying out that extra beef he put on ;)

yeah though he doesn't usually make that mistake so i'm ok with it. he knew he messed up.

I think Simmonds is our extra forward.

Would be interesting to see if Nylander and Malgin could find a center to give us a strong 2nd line as our "3rd". Kampf and two physical defensive wingers checking line.

Honestly Malgin - Kerfoot - Nylander would prob be a great line

The Who? Still? I remember their farewell tour I think around 1980
84, I was there
Saw the Who at the EX in 1980. Guy behind me passed out and missed the whole show. Good times!

Back to the game.
Was at that show as well. Joe Jackson(I believe) opened and was boo’d off the stage. Cold and rainy October day.

I have money on Buffalo and Ottawa making it. I think Washington, Pens, and Bruins are cooked. I think CBJ makes it in the met, and the Buffalo and Ottawa take the two wildcards
I have Toronto Tampa Florida Carolina NYR Pittsburgh and Columbus as 7 of the 8 with one spot left

ZARs role will be limited and (but*) tough. Conserving himself right now is probably by design. No need for adrenaline style play

exactly this! You have to give Kyle and the staff credit, this is probably the most depth at Leafs camp in a while. There are just so many viable options. Steeves, Gaudette, Malgin, ZAR, Robertson, Douglas, Simmonds ect. I think they will be able to carve out a solid bottom six.
Can add Anderson, McMann, and possibly a hungry Clifford to that list as well. It's impressive the dog fight we're gonna have for spots up front

A full year of Gio is a pretty great upgrade over Dermott/Boosh.

Gio does different things than Boosh. Wouldn't be surprised if they went looking for another Boosh this season at the deadline.

please god no.

yes they do different things - Gio does good things, Boosh does bad things.

i know tons know the travelling wilburies but who knows about the other super group from that era, willy and the poor boys Bill Wyman (bass), Charlie Watts (drums), Kenney Jones (drums), Jimmy Page (guitar), Paul Rodgers (vocals), Chris Rea (vocals), Andy Fairweather-Low (guitar), Geraint Watkins (keyboards), Mickey Gee (guitar), and Henry Spinetti (drums)

Very well could be. Just saying in this small sample size, there's been better showings from other depth options. This coming from someone who has been pumped to have ZAR in the fold.

yeah for sure - he's a legit quality defensive NHL forward. he's not really a bubble guy tbh. the PTO just means he wasn't willing to settle for league min, which he shouldn;t.
