It's just preseason and it's only one game, but it is funny to see Holl and Malgin score despite the massive amount of negativity they had during the off-season.

Pre-season always makes me more confused about what our lines could be, I think Malgin is a great option to push a talented player to the third line and Kampf as 4C

I've been all over the ZAR train since day 1 of free agency. Pumped when we got him on a PTO. Pumped before this game....and in just a split squad game....I've liked a lot of players fighting for jobs better thus far. Way too early take I know. But impressed with the depth and guys fighting for spots so far

exactly this! You have to give Kyle and the staff credit, this is probably the most depth at Leafs camp in a while. There are just so many viable options. Steeves, Gaudette, Malgin, ZAR, Robertson, Douglas, Simmonds ect. I think they will be able to carve out a solid bottom six.
