We all want our guys to respond when guys get hit or messed with but every time we do we get unevenly penalized for our efforts.

Nothing you can do to control that.

Still have to do it. Just kill the penalties

What is funny is the Canucks will keep running players hoping the Leafs will continue to instigate fights lol. Bad Leafs PK and great Canucks PP means free goals for them.

Yeah our penalty kill has been atrocious this year so far. Huge problem

You just make it harder for them to do those things. If they do that and they have to take a punch in the face, and they know that, they’ll be less likely to do it.

And that continues until the behavior is corrected.

Hockey fights aren’t a threat in 2023, both guys are wearing visors and at most will take a deflected shot or two before the refs break it up. This isn’t Colton Orr breaking your jaw and sending you to sleep early, the threat of Max Domi bear hugging you on the wall while your team gets a PP is not going to stop even a fraction of a single hit in the future.

Taking out two of their skill guys for every one of ours they target is the only threat remaining for teams today.

Gio showed them what happens when you "f*** with us", you have to "fight" and then get a powerplay goal. So they did it again and got another.

Why would the possibility of a fight that has a 99% chance of ending before anyone can get hurt, and a possible powerplay deter clean hits?

If you call a kid a name in class, and he punched you in the face and gets sent to the office, then the next day you make fun of him for going to the office and he punches you in the face again, and he goes to the office and and then the next day you make fun of his clothes and he punches you in the face and gets suspended ……

Is it worth it for you to keep making fun of him? He obviously is ready to deal with the consequences and isn’t ever not going to punch you in the face.

But if you keep taking punches in the face just so you can make fun of the kid, you’re the one with the problem, imo

Most people would just stop

They practice everyday. Maybe they should spend some extra on pk, knowing they’ll have to be better
