The media has been whining about the Leafs not punching people for the past three weeks. I guess they expected a different result or forgot about the refs.

Best part is, you just know no other team is getting 2 instigators in a period.
This has always been the story. Get beaten up by other teams playing rough, but the minute we try and do anything we get called constantly.

They have to at this point. Usually those penalties are easier to kill if it’s genuine.

Too much PK time to get a good flow going. Looks like they might have good energy tonight just need to stay out of the box. Not that I’ve had an issue with our penalties taken so far.

Bolts and Bruins etc don't see to get the instigator nearly as much.

Then maybe we should get some guys who'll hit everything that touches the puck so then maybe we can get a few instigator powerplays too.

Robertson has had his entire development derailed by injuries. That looked a lot like a head hit to me.
Lilly is still out and not playing
Knies got bodyslammed and taken out of the playoffs last year.
You don’t need much to give this kind of push back and it shouldn’t take much.

I would normally say don't fight after that Robertson hit, but considering the non-reactions lately, it's a good maneuver.
Meh period. Their PP looks great and oir PK is doing a piss poor job. Not a great combo. Will be interesting to see the rest of this
