I literally lost sleep last night because of this freakin' game. Terrible anxiety sleep....waking up a million times...not getting back to sleep...etc. Hopefully, this is a good omen because I was very calm and confident on Thursday. LOL

I really think they need to take out Joe and put someone younger in. I think we'll be a better team for it. He shouldn't be playing pp1, or with our top players. Not sure what Keefe is thinking.

Keefe is getting into Babcock-stubborn territory over his refusal to bench Thornton at this point. Same deal if it turns out he's responsible for not replacing the PP coach. Both of these situations are months old and completely unacceptable.

scratch nash period.

Yup, Keefe really dropped the ball putting him in over guys like Gally or even Engvall . He did the same thing with johnsson last year in game 5. Hadn't played since January and just threw him in game 5. Hopefully the boys come out hard and take this one. Going down 0-2 into Montreal without Tavares is gonna be hard to overcome.

I would like for someone to beat the shit out of Chiarot or whatever his name is

He’s the reason Tavares got hurt and the guy who’s always cross checking Matthews.

f*** that guy. Would be happy if Simmonds could kick his ass.
I agree 100%

chiarot clipped JT to knock him down in the first place. I was hoping Foligno would take him behind the woodshed.

I think the Habs will look at the Jets and know what they need to do. I see Montreal winning game 2. I hope to God I'm wrong.

You ever tried melatonin? I thought it was all rubbish until a girl i was seeing had the gummies and offered me one, best sleep i had in a long time.

You can't take them every night but i take them the odd night for a good guaranteed great sleep. You can order them off amazon 60 for like 15 bucks.

Just sayin it worked for me.

You're implying they've been equally impactful playoff performers?

Matthews has 12 goals 17 primary points to Marners 5 and 13. Playing a more difficult and more important position.

Whoever I quoted was implying that Marner was basically useless in the Playoffs.

I'm not implying anything, I am stating a fact. The fact is that he leads the team in Playoff points in the past 26 games.

If you don't like the way the points were achieved, that's your prerogative.

Feels like a while since we saw a win.

I wanted the boys to play out the season strong because I thought it might be hard to ramp up once the playoffs started. A win tonight will go a long way towards easing that fear.

J.T feeling better , the leafs knowing he's better is a good thing. Leafs take this one and continue on rolling! Only game I'm worried about is the 2nd back to back due to our backup being, ya know...

But one game at a time.

But the answer to all of our PP problems is to just play like Gretzky did. Right...

I think you're taking the Gretzky example a little too literally. Think conceptually.

Boys are going to come out flying, I’m feeling a blow out. No one can keep the of the score sheet twice.
Let’s GO!!!!!!!

Um.........

No problem with seeing Nash on the ice, his defense is good to have in defensive zone faceoffs, he shut down our best. The team had to adjust and re-balance the offense after Taveres went down though. The score is probably different if Tavares didn't get injured, just from the semblance of normality of the lines and assignments. Leafs had to play 50 minutes of jumbled hockey and they still barely lost to the most boring, uninspiring hockey team in the league (I know, because I've been subjected to their games all season).

I always thought that Galchenyuk should have started though, especially against his draft team. You want all the motivated players you can get and he is fighting for an NHL career. If anyone is going to forecheck and not back down when trying to get to the net, I would think it would be him.

Depth is a luxury.

I see myself not liking what you just said. Leafs in 6. Boys rally around JT and he makes a return against the Peg round 2. Leafs forever let's go boys.
I hope you're right. I've just got no confidence this team can rise to the occasion when there's an emotional reason at stake. Seems every time they fall flat - Kaskisuo debut, Tavares back to the Island - elimination games etc. Wish I wasn't so jaded.

Big Game

Must Win !!!

Understatement of the year.

Leafs tie up the series today and they're back in the drivers seat as we head into a best of 5 as the heavy favourites.

Depth is a luxury if it's properly used. Nash is not good. He hasn't been good and on top of that he's coming from a knee injury and hasn't played few months when other players are in already in form and shape

We have Gally and Engvall. Both who can skate and shoot and has decent size. Both you know what they bring. One of them was just picking up his game with 4 goals in 6 games
Instead you go with a guy who team hasn't played with, hasn't played in 2 months and has a knee injury and pretty much on his way out of NHL

Habs are a good skating team and you need skaters. We are already slow with Joe, Spezza and Simmonds
