On a serious note its nice to see our 5th best forward toying with a lottery team and Bertuzzi with a "why do you need me for this one, I'm bored" easy time.

This is why I'm not worried about these 2 come playoffs. They're gonna be able to battle. They're better than your average depth.

Had to check in with my beloved HOF Boards in the middle of this game . . . holy cow what a game so far.

So much going on, could be a novel after it's done... so far the things I've liked the most, (past the obvious):

- trying their hardest to get teammates off the schneid
making sure Bert got his goal, trying their best at one point to get Brodie a goal on the pp, it's things like this that build team love and character. Amazing to see.

- McMann, I do believe, is here. he's an NHLer, and quite possibly a good one. Kid snipes and he's a gamer.

- love Matthews taking that 5 min off during the 2nd after scoring his hattrick in a blowout game . . . these are the little things that are noticed, are you in it for personal glory, or re you playing the long game? Looks good on him, because lord knows if he wanted to get out there, Keefe would do it (which is an issues)

- Gudas is a wuss. A big guy who doesn't want to take on anyone his size . . . true definition of a female cat
