Mrazek Was fantastic on Saturday, why didn’t they just play him in two games in a row and see what he can do? Why put Campbell back in so soon after he’s been garbage for weeks now.

It was an easy shot straight in but he was crouched way down collapse into his knees
Silfverberg has one of the best shots in the league. That was a hard shot, from a prime scoring position, that he placed perfectly, and there were 2 strong passing options so Campbell had to stay deeper in his net. I didn't think that was a bad goal, just a nice shot on a 3-on-1.

I do agree that if he stays higher, and keeps his glove up, he makes the save. But a hard shooter in a prime position, as a goalie you have to guess a bit, there's not enough time to be purely reactive. He guessed a lower shot was coming (common on 3-on-1s where guys often try to shoot for a rebound, a.k.a. "pass off your pads"), but was wrong.

No need to start a goalie controversy.

Sorry I don't see what you are saying. They are playing their ass off, playing with tempo. They aren't hitting or anything because they always have the puck, there isn't any room for battles.

Maybe you just have Leaf PTSD and are waiting for them to lose this game somehow? *shrug*

No, like I said everything looks good but the pace isn’t there. If Anaheim wants to make a push they’ll probably look to dial up the physical forecheck, create some turnovers deep and start trading some track meet style chances.

No need to start a goalie controversy.

There is no controversy. This is a tandem. Or did Dubas bay 3M for a backup?

The point is, when Campbell is giving us .930 or better goaltending, he gets the starts. When he is giving us .900 goaltending and Mrazek is giving us .930 goaltending, he gets the starts.

Or we playing Campbell for 70 games, burning him out after we burned out Freddy every single year?

I mean....they just walked in and took a shot straight on. The fact it was a 3 on 1 is pretty irrelevant. There was no deception or play made. Beaten clean off the shot because he went down to early.

Almost like that Gallagher Game 7 goal. Nothing play.

It hasn’t been a tandem all season. Campbell is the #1

Because he was playing like the best goalie in the league. Now it's time for him to ride the bench for a month and let Mrazek get some games. Campbell will play, our schedule is too heavy. He will get the starts in March and he will start game #1 of the playoffs.

Sometimes the simplest move is the most surprising the one you may not expect. But oh well, shit happens.

As I said why start a goalie controversy?

It's a bad shot, not much to it than that. Unscreened wrister with time to cut the angle that isn't particularly well placed never good when players beat you clean to hit twine.
He couldn't cut the angle because it was a 3-on-1, had to stay deeper in his net in case Silf passed.

As for not well placed, really? He sniped it absolutely top corner:

That's a nice shot from a great shooter, from a prime scoring position, with Campbell having to worry about pass options. Sure, if you slow it way down, it's easier to criticize, but in real time you can see how there's no time for Campbell to purely react, he has to stay deeper and guess either low or high, he guessed wrong. But that goes in on a lot of goalies, a lot of the time.

We will totally gangsta this up in the dirty third  wait and see us scesoring even mo gezoals like a humming bird
