GDT: Leafs vs Bolts game 4

Simmonds and Clifford were the reason the Leafs took so many penalties.

Absolutely nothing to do with reffing bias against Toronto

Officiating doesn't make a lick of a difference in this one, but the penalties called and ignored in that period was pretty spectacular.

Matthews, Mik and Engvall have all stopped hitting since game 2, they made up for last of Simmonds and Clifford, but they went back to playing scared again.

Quiet game for our stars. I mean it is a weird game... But even at 3-0 there wasnt any push back.

This one might weigh on their minds as we head into game 5.

Besides obviously wishing we could trade Tavares, that Nylander effort there could very well end his tenure here. Complete joke. Might as well get ride of them both and invest in a defensively responsible second line and hope Matthews-Marner can carry the offence because they clearly cannot win with this offence first strategy.

Tampa knows how to properly set up the bumper position on the PP
When is the last time the Leafs properly did that?

Maybe their bumper doesn't take forever to get to that position and fall down when he tries to reach for the puck.

For me, I think that’s kind of it for his career as a Leaf. I like the player a lot, has all world talent but if he has that in a first round series I don’t think I’ll ever trust him.

Don't think we lose this series but if we do no one on this team should be safe except Matthews and Marner. Mrazek, Holl, Muzzin, Kerfoot, Nylander and Tavares would be the group I choose to move.

I am going to bet money that Holl starts next game.

The chaotic plays he makes puts this team in danger against a high powered Tampa offense. I don’t think he’s the right fit here. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him back in but I’d rather just play Liljegren

But Keefe goes straight back to the do-nothing 4th line because oh noes the penaltiez!!!
