Brutal D zone turnovers combined with brutal goaltending
AHL squad put up 5 and will lose and if it was allen in net, this board would be in flames.
but binner somehow has some magic barrier that prevents him from any criticism because of things he did almost 3 years ago
so will Binner answer the media tonight and face the music? no cupcake questions tonight for him, hes flat out the reason we lost. atrocious goaltending.
go ahead and make excuses for him. point out the turnovers, point out the shot totals (lol), hes flat out garbage since the bubble. i laughed last game when the announcers said he could have been a all star. are you kidding me?
the binnington defenders are becoming the new brian elliott homers
Binnington should be equally embarrassedWhatever, I'd be more embarrassed as a Toronto fan for letting an AHL squad drop 5 on me.
Unfortunately it doesn't matter how a guy is playing in random parts of the season, but rather his numbers at the end of the season. We can rightfully critique his play in the playoffs since his cup win, but he has been at or above league average even after his amazing 2019 cup run. He was awful tonight and we can also critique that, but his numbers, just on the basis of the stats alone, do not say he is super average or below average.go look at the posts before Christmas. This board swore up and down Binnington was magic and it was all on the defense regardless of every stat that pointed to his decline. I was also banned for pointing out how average he was. So for the bulk of the crowd here that's crapping on him, theyre FOS.
An average goaltending performance and we win 5-3. Simply average. That’s all we needed. We need Perron, Schenn, Tarasenko, Buchnevich, Parayko, and Brown back.
We have 30mil on the Covid List/illness.
Well since Campbell is terrible it's ok if Binnington is also...this might be the worst take in this thread and there have been some doozies
3.05 GAA and .906 are WELL below average. Like probably shouldn’t be in the league level bad.Unfortunately it doesn't matter how a guy is playing in random parts of the season, but rather his numbers at the end of the season. husso and chucky sideburns dont seem to have issues stopping pucks behind this "atrocious" defense.Go call out the atrocious defense and stop riding Binnington's jock like a jaded ex.
We had 25 shots. Average goaltending by both we lose 3-2.An average goaltending performance and we win 5-3. Simply average. That’s all we needed.
worst part is we are stuck with that contract now. hopefully he can turn it around but cant continue to feed him starts when he plays like he has been.Give Husso every start, including back to backs, until the Olympic break. Even Husso on his 10th game in 10 nights doesn’t allow 6 goals in this game. Thanks for the Cup, Cam, err Andrew, err Jordan, but kindly get the f*** off this hockey team.
He hasn't played the full season and I will bet 1 million dollars those are not his stats over his 3 years after the cup season.3.05 GAA and .906 are WELL below average. Like probably shouldn’t be in the league level bad.
ah, there's that Allen's disease again.Lots of comments blaming Binnington, but how is it the goalie's fault the Leafs have 2x as many shots on goal? You don't win games turtling in your own zone, especially when you still blow coverage in 5on5.
