Who's officiating? Does anyone know?

Now it begins

does this team turtle for the third time in 4 games, or do they adjust and continue to play

The Refs are a joke.

I just once want a reporter to clip a penalty like that, and HOUND the NHL till they get an answer.
I dont care if its one we benefit from or helps us TBH.

Just get the NHL to say how the hell a guy getting mugged is a penalty.

You see it all the time in the NFL and NBA, where reporters push the league to give an answer. They are also the leagues where the most amount of money is spent in North America, which I think helps keep the rules enforced.

Love the start to the game tonight. Best sense of urgency I've seen them play with in a while. Structure through the neutral zone looks pretty good too. A lot of guys rotating back and a lot of guys back checking.

Now get up about 5-1 and send Simmonds out to leave Krug in a heap of pain and bodily fluids. Don't even give him a chance to defend himself. Take the misconduct and leave the Blues feeling awful about themselves.

I think Bunting was getting a penalty there no matter what, Mikkola and Krug both could have been called if they’re handing out cheapies.

Hopefully Muzzin gets Krug later. Seem to recall he’s blasted our friend Torey once or twice vs Boston.

The Bunting penalty is a great miniature case study on everything wrong with league officiating. They gave him a penalty not because he actually violated any rule, rather they didn't wanted to give the Leafs a PP.

Game management 101

Makes me pretty sure we're likely going to see no PPs tonight if Bunting getting mugged didn't do it, in the first period no less. If we ever are on the man-advantage tonight I'll bet it'll be a reduced one with a call against the Blues while they're already on the PP.

I honestly think Refs look at who is drawing the most penalties in the league and at a certain point in the year just stop calling penalties that happen on them like they were disrespecting them or something for having penalties drawn.
