Exactly. Good post. Leaf fans focus on the bad shit sometimes way too much. They aren't perfect that's forsure but Leafs since that early 2-4-1 start ... they are 1st in a ton of important statistics... and the eye test agrees. I don't like every guy on the team *cough holl* but let's enjoy it. Looking forward to this one. Go Leafs Go

Only reason I'm worried is because they have *not* met the eye test in the two games since the mini-break. They've been sloppy and rusty and the Avs seem to be running on all 8. Not dumping on the team but this will be a giant challenge IMO.

Ritchie, Simmonds and Clifford all in

one out of the three I can live with, heck maybe even two of them, but all three may be a disaster seeing as the Avs are pretty much icing their real line-up
Gotta love our thugs sire..... We really are that thuggish rugggish bone again. Our identity is back !! FOR LIFE SIRE!!! But yeah wait... don't expect nothing big on ritchie.... he really out there. Like that twilight zone series back in the days out there....

I've cooled off on Marner in terms of needing to get rid of him right away but I am happy that the narrative of the team has been uncoupled from the 'Mitch Marner come up story' as one of our two big dogs. If he's in a role like Phil Kessel in Pittsburgh I have no problem with it, but agreed it makes life after Marner plausible if Leafs management envisions something radically different.

I love what Mitch brings although he's been off lately. The off-season may find him a new home as something needs to be done in regard to the cap situation. Of the players they might make available you'd have to think that you can add Ritchie(buy-out saves Leafs 1.1m), Mrazek(3.8)and Muzzin(5.625)

We all know that Campbell will want some real bread and probably 4 - 5 years. Mikheyev has had some rough patches, mostly injury related, but he's showed when he's going he really belongs in the the top 12 and maybe even the top 6. He's a player I don't think they want to lose, same can be said for Kase who is still an RFA thankfully.

I think when the games matter in the spring, Simmonds & Clifford should both be in. As for tonight, all 3 and no Marner & Kase might be a tough rough. But good teams find a way. We need to show we're a good team here tonight.
Side note, after being waiver...if Ritchie doesn't have his best game of the year here in line 3....it's a lost cause

Agreed. Obviously we’re in a tough spot with Marner, Kase and Engvall all out, but that’s a rough lineup. I would prefer to sit Clifford (or maybe Ritchie) in favour of Ho-Sang, Steeves or Joey Anderson. That Clifford/Seney/Simmonds 4th line looks terrible.

It's difficult to get up for games with zero fans, cloud of uncertainty of when you will play at home again. Not excuses, but still a reality.

24 days now and this is only their 3rd game. I am hoping for an honest effort and am not concerned with the results.

Seney bring a decent skill level and lots of speed between those two big boys. Simmonds still moves around pretty good, and Clifford is actually a strong straight line skater. In their 8-10mins of ice time, I think they'll actually be quite respectable tonight and hopefully create some energy

got a text from my grandma and I'm going to watch the game with her, something like 13-2 watching the game together.

PSA: spend time with your grandmas guys. I always remind my grandma to enjoy her final years and to stay away from the light.
Well, at least it's great you visit and watch the games. lol!
