That's what I fear. His shot is his money. I hope he maintained his strength.
Good article on the athletic about how he hired a new coach in the off season and adjusted his nutrition and training.. Matty wanted to play 15 lbs lighter and maintain his strength. He weighed in exactly 15 lbs lighter at camp and supposedly no loss of strength

Ya Id move Hyman back up with Matthews and move Joe back to 3C with Kerfoot and Mikheyev

I'd keep Thornton on the wing. If he is too slow to play on the wing, he is not going to be faster playing down the middle.

I definitely don't think he does enough to play on a top line... And that should be expected when you are playing with Matthews and Marner. He's not what the line needs. Just get a guy who plays simple, which is why Hyman does well even though he is clearly not a top 6 talent.

Matthews is a great player, I'm not dogging the guy, but he has to finish man. The same is true of Marner.

They've played a combined 43:13 tonight. Posts. Driving play. Possession. I love it... But I need tangible production man.

Let's be honest, he hasn't looked good in long long time.

Reilly's looked bad for like 80 games...it's a bit concerning. And he looks exactly like he did last year and even though it was attributed to injury there's just so many mental mistakes.

Think how hood Romanov has been and Sandin played at a similar level during world juniors etc.

He has to somehow get some NHL time asap
