Except he doesn't. He should but he doesn't. As I've said before: smallest big goalie in the league and he plays too deep in the net. The whole top of the net is always available except where his melon is and even that is usually out of position. There's a reason every team is shooting high on him.

I still think at the end of the year you’ll get a 25-45 guy in whose a ++ on goal differential. The contracts what it is...so if he’s a 70 pt player for the duration w/less brain farts I’ll take it.

He wouldn't have become what he is today without that opportunity though. You can't just force feed top line minutes to any scrub and have them develop, Babcock recognized something and he nailed this one.

Hyman has definitely improved skill wise and hockey IQ wise.

It's why he's stayed up in the lineup.
