My original point was that his save percentage is drastically down with a better D core in front of him. I never mentioned shot totals.
If you want to discuss shot totals then you need to begin by acknowledging that given the same Frederik Andersen the Leafs SHOULD be allowing fewer goals by virtue of Andersen posting roughly the same save percentage on a smaller quantity of shots. But obviously that isn't the case.
If you get into the more advanced metrics you can see evidence that his workload in terms of chances and high danger chances, which should boost save percentage, is lesser, but I didn't go there either.
