ZAR and Lafferty are fine but yeah... I think Knies is just flat out better.

He’s far more prepared than I expected for the playoffs. Having ROR as his pivot certainly helps but the kid is more than capable of playing. I don’t know what Keefe will do with Bunting when he’s eligible to return and frankly I don’t care, so long as Knies remains a mainstay in the lineup.

Thought he was great... he reminds me of Matthews with a little less skill and a little more aggressiveness. He has a great stick though, good hands in tight, and uses his body to guard the puck or separate people from it... he is really good

Matthews used to be even more aggressive than that.

Great response tonight, couldn't have asked for anything more.

But yeah, I've pretty much conceded this series is going 7. Those with heart conditions, anxiety issues or blood pressure problems may want to stay away from the TV until this series is over.

Teeder can tell us about the 1918 game.

Canasta again?

Saving Canasta for when they lose.

is fasting done or is there one more to go on Friday? Or is Friday Eid?
Interesting …
I’m a OMAD eater myself , I’ve followed a fasting regiment 22-23 hours every day and eat for about 1-2 hours for about 10 years now , best thing I’ve ever done physically and has helped me considerably medically and mentally …( other than stones unfortunately) and being a Leafer lolol …
It’s been terrific

Once he can get more leash and more confidence, his physicality should really elevate his game.

I hope he can keep it up into a very daunting Game 3.

I just get the vibe from watching him, seeing his reactions on the bench in replay, that once he gets settled he's going to have a "give no shits" attitude and be relentless.

He's not afraid of those dirty areas and wanting to make a play.

He always wanted to be one. I remember when his contract was up with the ducks, he was seriously considering it but the captain of the time {can't remember his name} didn't want to play for them, and they wanted to stay together, so they both re-upped w/the ducks.

What happened to Spezza? did he retire?

Yeah Spezza retired at the end of last season and is in the front office now…

Bunting is a liability and we don't want that circus. i'd scratch Bunting. thats why I was happhy that he got suspended for 3 games. He wasn't contributing offensively, his defensive game is garbage and his antics were causing Leafs issues.

Keep Knies in; bunting out even after suspension.

4th line has mojo going lets not try to mess it up. Just look at how amped Kampf was when ZAR scored the goal; same with Lafferty

The core was on the line and they stepped up, impressive performance. Now don't take your foot off the gas and do it again

I've been to two leafs playoff games, game 1 last year and game 2 this year. We've outscored the opposition 12-2 in those games

Please fund me to go to Tampa @Leafs

Lets hope Samsonovs away numbers during the regular season won't mean anything in TB. Main reason why I wanted us to have home ice thinking we'd take both games but that didn't happen. Feel a much better with us having O'Rielly at 3C though so lets hope they can keep this momentum going.

Knies was a bull out there. He physically dominated the Lightning on the boards. Kid looks great.

Might be a little harder if/when Hedman and Cernak are back, which I don't doubt they will be next game but yeah... it helps having a bull with skill. He can make you pay from the half wall driving the net.

Knies should stay in permanently. Looks like he can provide that physicality and also he had some good scoring chances and is more of an offensive threat than anyone on the 4th line. No reason to take him out even if Bunting comes back.

Tampa 49 pim to our 23?
Tampa called for cheap shots and not Toronto?
Tampa players getting kicked out?

There is only one possible explanation - the refs got confused about which blue and white team Bettman had told them was to win. :sarcasm:

Matthews has been alright but he needs to wake up in a big way soon. He hasn't been an issue of course but the Leafs need him to score and need him to be more than just ok to good. He needs to be great.

Important - Tampa got those penalties when the game was out of hand .. they had to "even it up" so that they can go back to Tampa with a clean slate of "fair" calls.

It's not going to be easy down there.

The NHL wants this series to go 7 games .. they'll do their best to make sure it does.
