No...i have just watched him play this same way the last 3 post seasons. Have you? Watch the playoffs and you will see the same &$+&, all his points were thanks to the hard work of his linemates, primarily Matthews.

He's a good transitional skater but his playmaking is overrated. He was 15th overall in primary assists last season despite playing with the best goal scorer in the league. How much does that drop without Matthews?

The minute he starts going to the tough areas, maybe ill be quiet...we won't win jack &$+& in the playoffs until he does.

The most assists Marner got in a season was in a season that Matthews wasn’t his primary centre. Adversely Matthews didn’t start competing for Rockets until Marner was put on his line.
He is also probably the best defensive player out of our 4 highly paid forwards.

But sure all he does is suck points off his teammates…..

I always thought Marner collected points in his sleep. Nylander’s kind of the opposite in that he can buzz around all night and have 0’s across the board.

Both his points today, you don't even see him in the highlight, that's how far from the play he was. Kind of how it goes when you play with Matthews.
