Lily is a massive difference maker. He is just so smart with the puck and can create chances in the offensive zone. The latter was missing from the D while Lily was (inexplicably) scratched in the Tampa series.

He is going to be a core piece. Call me drunk but I think he has a Parayko ceiling

Matthews has 5 goals in his last 5 games and Marner is over a point a game. Maybe the sky isn’t falling after all.

Marner collected 2 more secondary assists today - both compliments of being on a line with Matthews. He now leads the league in secondary assists and only has 2 goals and 3 primary assists in 12 games. Think how many points Matthews could have if his 11 million dollar linemate could score goals like him.

Kerfoot is such a smooth skater. I realized tonight he reminds me of Jason Blake. Such a pleasing skating style. The problem is, everything dies on his stick offensively. I can't remember a player with less finish or more bonehead plays offensively. He should be on the 3rd or 4th line and used as a PK specialist IMO because that's where he shines (defensive plays because of his speed).

Other than that, the Leafs look good, ice looks bad and the fans are giving me E-D they're such a downer.
