Anyone still believe that this team is Cup caliber as it stands?

No, I don't. But I also believe that they haven't played their best hockey yet. I'm also confident that Peter C and the rest of the brass are seeing what were seeing, and that there is a couple of holes on this team. And with the goal being to become Stanley Cup Champions, they will try and make a move or two and get this team ready for a big push. Lets say they don't make any moves by the deadline, and decide to go as is, I doubt they hoist the cup even if their playing their best hockey.

When a goalie is struggling like Rask is, you would hope the Dman attack the shooters. On both the 3rd and 4th goals the Dman just backed up or didn't move.

first game back from a road trip is always rough, especially a west coast trip.

lots of standing still.

Whats should be alarming is the amount of bad thats going on with this team. Goaltending PP Pk, lack of finish, losing third periods and so on.

why was chara on the point for the power plays.
he basically killed one power play with another bad pass.

what happened to him down low?

he also missed the net about 5 times again

They put him there with the second unit in place of Dougie. I think Krug played the full 2 minutes on the first PP, so I don't know why they didn't just do that again. Maybe that was just the way the shifts fell?

I could only watch most of the first before I had to go out.
Had a bad feeling on how the game was going to wind up.
Chia hopefully is working the phones, the depth is strained to say the least.

Agreed.. I understand some folks will say that this is just your usual regular season slump, a slump that this team has gone through every season. But I don't think its that cut and dry.. This team is struggling on the PK and Goaltending, bad second periods, and 3rd periods, lack of finish. When is the last time this team has been this bad on the PK.. The PP was always a problem but we still found a way to win it all and I'm sure we'll be fine there. Dennis getting hurt for the whole season has been a big blow. Chara cannot play an insane amount of minutes during the playoffs with Dennis S. He can't do this by himself. He will be spent during the Finals that's if they even get that far.

Iginla, Rask, and PK are my biggest worries. Can't change Seidenberg being out so I won't even think about that.
Bergeron line was dominant.

How can anyone watch Eriksson and Krejci on the PK together DOMINATING and NOT PUT THEM TOGETHER!?!?!? Gahhhhhh:help:

They were great on that last PK, yeah. I'm sure PJ was happy with his fellow Gothenburger.
