I myself would have preferred a run at Gostisbehere, for about half the money. He's already learned his lessons, about just how far his offence can take him in the NHL, and has developed some defensive chops to go along with a pretty smart offensive sense.
But then again, I didn't know the Leafs were looking at this sort of dee-man.
Regardless...the play of the Top 5, plus their goalie, plus overall playoff demeanour will have much more impact next season. Klingberg is just a guy going along for the ride, not the driver by any stretch.
