Klingberg was traded at the deadline for a 4th.

And we just gave him 4 million dollars.

This Treliving guy is a superstar jeez

So 6M in space left for Samsonov and depth signing. Guess this takes leads out of bertuzzi. Maybe Domi if he takes 3M

So they wanted someone because they hoped he would improve enough to be worth getting?

Gotcha.
Yeah young player develop over time. Some get better, some don’t.
If you can sign someone like Comtois to a cheap contract you can bury there is no risk and some potential for a big reward.

It’s not a hard concept.

Some time when the team is up against it, and the breaks are going against the boys, tell them to get out there and give it all they got, and win just one for the Klinger.

I myself would have preferred a run at Gostisbehere, for about half the money. He's already learned his lessons, about just how far his offence can take him in the NHL, and has developed some defensive chops to go along with a pretty smart offensive sense.

But then again, I didn't know the Leafs were looking at this sort of dee-man.

Regardless...the play of the Top 5, plus their goalie, plus overall playoff demeanour will have much more impact next season. Klingberg is just a guy going along for the ride, not the driver by any stretch.

$4.150,000
WAY TOO MUCH

WTF, get this GM out of here.

Heard a Mike Futa interview last year where he just slagged klingberg.
WE NEED HEAVY NOT SOFT.

Kilger? Oh man, I had no idea Chad was still playing hock...
