PK faceoffs, IMO, would have the most likely be against opposition's best top 6 faceoffs guy, as the goal is to win the puck.

I always thought it was the defensive zone but you could very well be right.

It looks like you are correct.

For faceoffs at center ice, the visiting center must place their stick first. For all other faceoffs, the team closer to their own net must place stick first.
