Wonder what move they're working on. I'm hoping it starts with the most useless player and playoff performer on the team being shipped out and yes I am talking about Jarnkrok
Reaves to the AHL is the solution you just described.
I'd like for more than 1 or 2 forwards on the team to know what the defensive end looks like.
Kampf and his $2.5 traded pretty please.

“We brought Max in about a month ago for a couple of days, where he was very open to a medical exam, but also got on the ice for us,” Treliving revealed “He feels he’s had two and a half years, where he really hasn’t had the opportunity to train, it’s been (mostly) re-habbing. “Now he was able to have a full summer of training He came back last year (in Washington), jumped in halfway through the season and at the end of the year, felt he wasn’t where he wanted to be physicallyYet he’s expected to be a mainstay as a left winger in Tre’s opinion………

I said earlier, I don't love the signing, but the bolded makes a big difference. Tearing your achilies tendon twice back to back is some real bad luck.

Sadly this group of acquired vets have the potential to have a IR poker tournament as opposed to the usual foursome playing euchre, hope I’m wrong, but it’s a risk. If all these vets can stay healthy I think Tre will look like a genius, if not then he’s going to look like a fool. And that’s only addressing this year, more potential in years to come. I’m not saying I don’t like the likes of Tanev and company, but it’s a high risk high reward move imo…….Well, good thing is LTIR is a thing.
Could be Father Time has been trying to tell Pacioretty something?
It could be or he has just had to deal with injuries that come with the job. They can come at any age. The PTO will give the team some indicationWell, good thing is LTIR is a thing.

Actually I wouldn’t mind moving all 3 of Kampf, Jarnkrok and Reaves so we run a cheaper 4th line with Dewar, Holmberg, and maybe Lorentz. That new 3rd line would be about 3.3 m cheaper allowing some additional cap space to go for a more impact 3rd liner at the deadline I.e a Boone Jenner or Coleman type player.

The guy was still scoring 20+ goals at 5v5 though or at a 20+ goal pace at 5v5 over a 82 game season. Did that playing with Mark Stone and Chandler Stephenson in Vegas recently. Montreal he didn't exactly have amazing linemates either and did the same thing. The guy can score goals and seeing him with Seth Jarvis and Sebastian Aho in their short time together showed that Patches can still help a line dominate when they are on the ice and put the puck in the net. Idk if he'll play in the top 6 or if the plan is to have Nylander be the 3C with Patches on his wing or not, but he should be able to do the same here with the many playmakers we have and players who aren't afraid to control the puck more themselves so players like Patches can find the openings for a one timer.Over 24% of his total goals scored in his career were PP goals. If he doesn't play in PP1 he isn't going to score 20, period.
He is in his late 30s after a couple of surgeries. Lower your expectations. The guy was still scoring 20+ goals at 5v5 though or at a 20+ goal pace at 5v5 over a 82 game season. Leafs probably hoping to get this version of Pacioretty

The must have seen him skate before they extended the camp invite?Pacioretty hasn't been very good the past two years. He's really looked completely cooked. Now the question becomes, is that father time, or is that the injuries, and a lack of training? What if he has fully recovered, and is finally back in shape? His last two seasons, before these injuries he was PPG. I guess that's the gamble... hope he's healthy enough, and will stay healthy, and be that kind of player... I mean even a 50-60 point guy would be a huge win for us.
I guess we shall see in camp and pre-season, what he's got left. Where does he fit in, if at all?

Thanks, makes sense. Perhaps I missed that during the summer but was that common knowledge that he was here working out?NHL Videos - Highlights and Analysis from the National Hockey League

He was with the Leafs approx a month ago. Met with the doctors and skated for the team and coaches.

Seems like there's a better cone of silence around the Team with Treliving in charge.I think that only came out this week.

Is that the same as "death by booga booga?"That’s like asking do you want to be killed by torture or death by kumba…….
So is this why Matthews is captain now, because Mitch wanted him to be...?In any other city the players don’t run the team, in Toronto not so much……
Yes, I’m guessing it is……….Is that the same as "death by booga booga?"
