Just remember how many on here dismissed the Bogosian and Lybushkin pickups.

This guy is a battler. Not all defensemen need to play like Makar. You need some grinders and unpleasant players. Ask ANY of the stars in the NHL, Leafs or otherwise.

I am still amazed at how flippant people are when a seasoned D man is picked up. Defense is the toughest position to master in the NHL. If the Leafs can ice 3-4 D of an ornery disposition on any night, it not only balances the backend and encourages players to follow suit, it ensures opposition forwards who land in Toronto are not looking forward to the grind ahead.

Ehhhh depth level, so probably spares and goes in once in awhile. He could surprise, just not sure where he fits at all over the top 6.

He's a physical defenseman though. Very physical.

Perfect #7 or maybe #6 if muzzin gets moved.
