Good stuff here! I like the signings approach of quality over quantity (Bertuzzi-top six F/W, Klingberg-top four D). Hoping for a nice reward to go with a couple of relatively low-risk signings. I'm just slightly baffled about the team signing Bertuzzi, Klingberg and Reaves with the latter amongst that trio being the one to receive the deal with term on it!

July 1st, 2023-a number of Leaf UFAs sign elsewhere, "the sky is falling"/"relax, it's early."

July 2nd, 2023-Start the dang season already!

I'm very shocked but I guess he didn't get the long term dollar deal he was after with the cap stagnant. He's betting on himself and cap rising next season and well Leafs do have plenty of talent to get him a career year and bigger payday next year. Congrats Leafs great deal for you guys.

Is that not why I said Treliving would move Nylander? PLD was moved for 3 young roster players with NHL experience. You could probably get that same value plus futures for Nylander. As he’s a better player.

Would give us more depth to work with and maximize even this Bertuzzi signing
