Confirmed with Link: Leafs sign F Max Domi to extension (4 years, $3.75M AAV)

So has Berube the last month and a half who has demonstrated he will not be holding the players accountable.

Once there is no order of merit and accountability the team is done, cooked, fried. It's over my Leafs friends. Players level of care is zip

Ya, I don't even blame the players at this point this is all on management. Our management doesn't seem to give two shits about winning so why would the players? As long as they sell merch and fill the seats most of us are going to go through life never seeing a Leaf player hoist a cup. I had the misfortune of witnessing some of the Ballard era and those guys were set up to lose and played with more heart than this current roster. Most of this team is just so unlikable and my care for this team is almost on empty. When Marner gets that big fat overpayment after getting knocked out in the early rounds again this year I'm going to seriously contemplate why I waste 10 hours a week on these duds. I don't even think I could cheer for another team I'm just done.

The guy tries hard, competes hard but he just can’t finish plays. What happens to his cap hit if they waive him in an attempt to send him to the Marlies.

He was really good last playoffs. That’s the only reason I’m not gonna rip him right now. Has he been god awful? Yep. Let’s wait and see what he does in the playoffs.

I’d rather have a playoff warrior who sucks during the season than a regular season stud and playoff dud. Our whole team is already duds in the playoffs.

As slim as it is, that’s the hope I have

There is no way this guy is putting in the work. There is no way he is working on his difficult areas. There is no way this guy in fully invested in this team. He is however, fully invested in his celebrity.
We were warned on this board. Hey, it's a job for some people. Got their guaranteed money, why kill yourself?

Kampf is another guy who should be better. Barely visible at times.

There is something wrong in that room. Yes maybe so but he isn't the only one. The depth completely non existent.
Some will tell you it is because they wasted cap space on Domi, Kampf and Reaves but are OK to overpay Marner and then hope they can fix the bottom 6. $46+m/87.5m cap to 4 playoff losers and less than $15m to the rest of your forwards.

Can you see the 3 amigos grinding through 2 playoff series, let alone 3 or 4? Complete joke organization top to bottom.

He was bad last playoffs. He had a decent game 2 because Matthews took over, but his other 2 points were secondary assists off a faceoff win and a missed shot. This while eating up all of the prime offensive opportunities because he had to be MASSIVELY sheltered (93.1% offensive zone starts, playing pretty exclusively with a superstar). Meanwhile, he still somehow managed to put up absolutely horrific defensive results (worst forward on the team, and worst on-ice xGA/60 of any Leaf forward in the Matthews era playoffs outside of the 2 games Kadri played in 2018-2019 prior to his suspension), and took stupid penalties (most on the team).

I could copy and paste a lot of these comments and paste them in a thread about Morgan Rielly.

Let's see how all these players do in the post season.

Domi runs out of momentum in every market he plays in so it's unfortunate that his Leaf tenure seems to be following similar patterns. When you look at his regression it's clear he isn't doing the dirty work stuff all over the ice that made him moderately effective last year, so you can probably guess what the off ice standards slipping might look like. He probably likes the lifestyle of being a Leaf more than the work itself.

But other than that, he was good, no?
