Not letting Connor brown get a point would be nice

He's been producing often against us from what I can recall

He's a good player but still, we should be able to defend him to around 0.5 ppg or so.

Overall it's the sens. Unless their goalie stands on his head or ours implode we should get 2 points.

I'll predict 5-3 leafs win with JT getting a pair of goals

I thought the bottom pairing was great last game, but they do need to rotate Liljegren in as much as possible. In an ideal world, it's Holl who comes out

I also thought Holl played well too. The goal against was almost all on Muzzin, that puck needs to get deep. Terrible turnover.

Can we just not bring up last season and focus on the actual game in these threads.

I just want a good start and full 60 minute effort and it should be a dominant win. These are the pesky sens tho and I expect the game to get physical so I want to see the same response last night of defending our players and being pests to attract penalties.

4-2 leafs

People will be moaning about last season all year, best to just ignore it. It won't be going away.

I'd like to see Lilly get a chance tonight. Also, I'd like to see Simmonds replaced tonight. I know there's a place for him against teams like Montreal (snakes in the grass) but on a back to back I feel his skating will be worse than it was last night. Semyonov in...maybe inject a bit more speed to Spezza's line.

not a question of better or worse.

just doesn’t mean anything when it really matters.
But it does mean something. It makes getting to those playoff games a stronger possibility. I'd hate to see us not make the playoffs and then hear people complain about our abysmal playoff performances for another year. I want to get to that point so we can exorcise these demons. Along the way, I'm going to enjoy watching this elite entertaining team play.

yeah we drop Edmonton, winnipeg and Calgary and get Buffalo and Detroit. Much tougher division now... lol

We play in a tough division no doubt. Tampa, Florida, Boston are quality squads, and will be in the mix the whole season. Montreal appears to be a tier lower, but then they just made the Cup finals. Ottawa is going to play tough, even if they aren't contenders yet... Buffalo and Detroit are must wins.

It's not an easy division for sure.

It does mean something in the sense that we need to get to the playoffs first before we can have a chance at redemption.

A good start could lead to one of those games where we completely take over. I'm hoping for such an occurrence.

Get half the team on the score sheet tonight, give some confidence to the new goalie.

Would be nice to see Johnny Toronto get on the score sheet. I think he pots one tonight, would do wonders for his confidence.
