Fair question, but that is what he was going to cost, if not more. If you were expecting JT to get better at the age of 30 years old, then that is on you.

I was not expecting Dubas to even sign him.
He was not what we needed then and he is not what we need now. That money should have been spent on improving The D and goaltending
Spending 50% of the cap an 4 forwards is just not going to cut it
