Guy went to the worst team in the CZE last year and almost single handedly made them relevant. Great to see him back in NA and playing as well as he did in the WHL for years.
Kometa Brno won 2 championships in the last 5 years. They also made the Semi's of the Extraliga in the last 5 years. In Krals year they made the playoffs and won a round. Not sure how you got worst team in the CZE last year?

Single handedly relevant? Libor Hajek (NYR), Jakub Zboril (Bos), Karel Vejmelka (playing for Arizona as I type right now) were on the team.

Couldn't watch the game out here but caught the highlights. What do we have in Bunting?
To me he looks like a 3rd liner we can slot into any line in a pinch. Nothing wrong with that.

Explain to me again why we need a defensive specialist who but had 1 goal ?

Were being dangled and absolutely outclassed and outplayed by Josh Anderson ?

Or maybe the year before by Foligno that we had to go out there get a so called defensive specialist

Wasn't our problem depth in scoring?
Wasn't our problem pp?

Penalty kill we were pretty good

Are you young to play Kampf 25 mins a game against Barkov, Kuch and Panarin?
They would love nothing more to play against a guy who had 1 goal
Give it a rest dude, that is not how a defensive specialist is deployed. It's not how Rob Niedermayer, nor Sammy Pahlson was deployed for the Ducks. Defensive players come on for defensive zone draws, get the puck up the ice, and get off, while playing a neutral game. This comment really shows your lack of hockey knowledge.

Why would he trade him.

The ship has sailed on trading him cause he’s very close to bust territory but we definitely could have used him as part of a package in years prior to get more of what really need (top 4 RHD that isn’t Justin Holl). Liljegren will never be a top 4 dman.

It's pre-season, lots of guys fighting for jobs look good. A better measure is when the season starts and they're playing against NHL players in games that matter.

On a related note, Robertson doesn't look ready to me at all. There's just this awkwardness to his game, like he's trying too hard but not really sure what he's supposed to be doing. Looked okay on the PP but otherwise seems to be chasing the game, not really in sync with everyone else on the ice and when he does get the puck he rarely is able to do what he wants to do with it.
I went to a basketball coaching clinic taught by someone from team Canada coaching staff (possibly womens) can't recall it was 14 years ago. But she did a drill, and took a kid aside who was blazing up and down the court. She said "your really fast".... and the kid smiled. She then said, speed isn't as important as changes in speed. Robertson is all speed right now.....one gear. He makes some good little plays out there. He needs more time in the AHL to settle into pro life

Liked what I saw last night. Most players played well. Bunting is pretty intuitive around the net. Every goal he showed a different technique. Tips, driving the net redirects, and a nice close in snipe on his third. Guy has a good shot. Pest as well.

Hi-Sang was good again. It will be hard not to sign him he he keeps this up. Someone else will if we don’t.

Kral really jumped up in my opinion of him. Niemelä and him are bright spots in the future on D.

Kampf/Kase look like a good combo, great signings. Just stay healthy and Kase is a great add. He makes me nervous every time he dives to poke a puck or falls down. Lol.

Semyonov looked really good at times. Made some good plays defensively and a few good offensive plays as well. If we didn’t sign Kampf I could see him making a play for the 4th centre spot.

Mrazek looks strong.

Gusev, Simmonds, Gabriel were pretty blah.

It's shocking to me that a Leaf fan would say that because we just saw 5-goal on first line man Philip Danault make a big impact in the Leafs series by shutting down Matthews, and then get paid for it handsomely in free agency.

And he finally gives us that C on the first PK that we've lacked for a while.

I agree with your overall point and think Kampf can be a very valuable addition, but Danault didn’t shut down Matthews. If anyone did, it was Price. The Matthews line dominated the Danault line in virtually every category.

dont waste your time, he actually does not understand how hockey works lmao. I’ve said this before

And now for something completely different,
I'm thinking Kampf is our 3C, we have plenty of options for top two lines lw,

and Mr. Kerfoot is dangling in the wind.........

Mika has never got the chance. Hyman had years of chances before actually being good.
Or.... just maybe, Hyman was always good and a huge % of fans just couldn't see it until much later? That seems more likely to me.

2 very different NHL head coaches thought he was a 1st line player, and that he actually helped make that top line (or whatever line he played on) better...

From what I witnessed last night .
Kerfoot
Mik
Engval
Are trade pieces, it would also give us cap space to possibly sign another player.

3rd liner, yeah no, not happening. He’ll undoubtedly play with Tavares and Nylander.
Call me crazy but I could see Bunting with Matthews and Marner. His style of play and touch around the front of the net could fit in like a missing puzzle piece. Imagine banging in rebounds off of Matthews shots or Marner feeding him in tight. At least would like to see it tried for a few games.

He does have a gift for scoring.

If Ritchie can't fit in the top 6, I can see this happening. Bunting is driving the bus right now.
