Both guys in support were in the exact places where they should not have been too. Puck watching while Chartier put that puck to a place where a guy absolutely should have been despite taking a pair of hits from Simmonds and Shaw.

Thing is and we all know this as Leaf fans. You can have plenty of talent. Ottawa is better now... so are a few other teams around the league... but you can't float. Expectations are a lot higher for them now. Its only pre season but some of these young teams will feel the pressure now when the season gets going.

Leafs are still guilty of that sometimes. You still have to play your guts out to win.

Leafs are a more vet team now. They work hard for the most part. Young teams think they can win coasting on talent. We've been there. ottawa hasn't played any meaningful games with these kids to teach them that lesson yet
