McMann has raised his stock a ton in this camp. Steeves really put his name on the map last year with his performance with the Marlies but I'm glad everyone is getting to see it here too.
Lots of good call up options Holmberg, Steeves, McMann, Anderson all played well in their roles.
Samsonov played well except for handling the puck and that last goal, but a good tune up. Made some key saves.
The sens fan base hive mind on here severely overrates their players/prospectsHaven’t spent much time on the main boards huh? Lol
There are a bunch of people who seem to think they are now. No clue what they are thinking.
Robertson was a stud today
I agree. While many of these younger players have really come to play (Robertson, Malgin, Steeves, McMann, Mete), a guy like Anderson hasn't showed much of anything at all.Anderson shouldn't be a call up unless he has a great year with the Marlies
He hasn't shown anything. If anything he has literally played himself out of a role with the Leafs
Really? I find beating Ottawa is like beating your kid sister. You know the one? The one that is always whining.I don't care if it's a charity game with bunch of 50 year olds playing. I'll always relish beating the crap out of Ottawa
Steeves somewhereBunting - Matthews - Marner
Robertson - Tavares - Jarnkrok
Engvall - Kerfoot - Nylander
ZAR - Kampf - NAK
Malgin

I think injuries have opened a spot for him...for now.Malgin will make it, Robertson unfortunately will play another year in the A and keep getting better. I think we lose someone on waivers if we keep Robertson up, and we aren't dropping NAK or ZAR (once he's signed to league min)
Yeah, but he reads the thread, so he might comment out of spite.Mess only comments on games that the Leafs lose?
He was a very promising rookie who was rushed up to the league and then abandoned by the Habs - a franchise that has become notorious for being unable to develop young players. I dunno if he'll ever get back on track but I thought he was a worthwhile reclamation project. The things that made him compelling to the Habs to begin with was his passing and mobility. He was Weber's defense partner in his rookie year for that reason.Mete is a lot better than I thought he would be. For a guy who's 5'9", his mind and quickness allows him to evade hits and his good outlet passes means he can get out of the defensive zone quickly. He reminds me of Sami Vatanen...not bad at all!
I'm glad you mentioned Rifai. He's been pretty solid, and I'd be all for giving him a shotRobertson has been great in camp and today was his breakout game in pre season. Like I said, his performance good or bad didn't matter in the rookie tournament. His camp would be his test and he's passed.
Almost all of our bubble guys have impressed. Malgin, Robertson, Holmberg, Steeves have all showed well and could make a case to make the team but obviously won't.
Also Rifai has been very noticable and might get an ELC
Very cerebral player. A quality that should serve him well.I think villeneuve will be a future nhl dman for us
Im impressed with his first pass out of our zone
Very effective
Don't say that. Both of them have performed really wellI feel Robertson has beaten Malgin out of that 2LW.
Kid absolutely fed Malgin his lunch today and all I see is Malgin riding coattails.
Robertson drove play and created chances. I think he so far has classed himself above Malgin this far.
The kid is a big part of our future. Malgin, not so much.
He's been under the radar good. Him playing over Kokkonen today was a good indication what the team feels about himI'm glad you mentioned Rifai. He's been pretty solid, and I'd be all for giving him a shot
Robertson was excellent tonight no doubt and he had a better game than Malgin tonight. However, Malgin has established chemistry with Nylander and unfortunately for Robertson, he is waiver exempt which unfortunately counts. I think Robertson has to be to six. Therefore I think Malgin has the edge still, but 3 more games to go before the season starts!I feel Robertson has beaten Malgin out of that 2LW.

Tyler Boucher is an absolute waste of a top 10 pick. Incredibly bad. Thank you Pierre McGuire.
