The only take away from this game for me is, and I am pretty sure we already knew this, if you bring zero effort even against a weak NHL team you will lose.

Almost every Leaf player through two periods looked like they would rather be ANYWHERE else tonight. Awesome.

I saw this coming with most people writing off Ottawa, and it looks like the players took them lightly as well.

None of Matthews, Marner or Nylander have had any positive impact on this game in a meaningful way. Guess it was time for a night off. If that means we dominate them tomorrow, I will accept it... lol

Did you see the pride in McDavid last night. It's not skill, it's pride. Of course McDavid is more skilled and faster. But all those means nothing, if you have no pride

For a team that's so bad at passing, they sure do seem to insist on making the additional stupid pass nonstop. How many times do they gain the zone then not do anything with it.
