I remember being a wee lad and seeing him, in his last year I believe' lifting the Cup in Calgary. My friends dad had a big smile and a slight tear in his eye. The Sittler/McDonald years were the players he watched in his prime. I was too young to know him in a Leaf uniform.

I remember meeting a well known person, I won't name them, but I just said "hey how's it going ____?"

They just responded, "good thanks". Probably shocked I was just so casual, as if he was my neighbour or something. I'm not into idolatry of people, though there are a few classic guitarists I'd probably be slightly intimidated by.

Anyways, you should have just done that, "hey Lanny", give him a nod.
