The pairing of Del Zotto and Staal has been a success so far this season. Del Zotto continues to improve every game, and Staal, well he looks like Staal again - making great defensive plays, and getting involved physically and offensively. Still can't believe how many people are eager to include these two in trade proposals, they are an integral part of this team.

I know most people will talk about that first line but I like the way the 2nd and 3rd finished the game.

Pyatt-Boyle-Stepan
Hagelin-Ferreiro-Callahan

Seemed to be legit chemistry there

Those lines were ****ing awesome tonight.

Over a condensed season, we are going to have to find a way to better evenly distribute the minutes. I don't think the 4th line saw the ice in the third.

This too, the other night we had 2 lines basically rotating for an entire period.

And im Glad we have Nash. I was screaming and yelling for the Rangers to acquire him last year for the playoffs. However maybe we had to wait to get him for the right price. But the price is right..."You've won a new car"!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice win after being down by 2, but seriously not that impressive.
Still plenty of tweeks to be done, our offence is still hardly dangerous.

Shots 42 - 17, Hank still needs to get his head in the game

Oh yeah, and our PP is still ***** :D

Aren't goals great? They turn a frustrating loss into a dominant victory.

Down 2-0, tonight sucked. Looking back up 5-2 we outshot them 42-17 and played a damn good game. Goals are like magic

Del Zotto getting comfortable on the right side is helping a lot, that will be a real good pairing if he stays comfortable there

And yeah everyone needs to remember that the team was trying to come from behind in the third (and well, all game) period and that's why the 4th line and to a lesser extent the 3rd line didn't see much icetime.

When you want goals you don't want your 4th line on the ice

I'm very happy, but a lot of it was simply making the Leafs look like the Leafs.
What I'm happy about is that they went out in the 3rd period and really just made it clear who was in charge.

Aren't you glad you don't have a guy like Phaneuf wearing the 'C'?
He really sucks as much as always.

Saw all the right things: keeping pressure in their zone, getting physical on the boards, PP showed signs of life.

Few things I weren't thrilled about were the early penalties and turnovers in our end.

This is the reason I stay out of GDTs. I can only imagine what it looked like when we were down 2-0, despite controlling play. This board loves to ride the roller coaster.

If the Rangers fix those two terrible breakdowns and the powerplay, this could easily have been an even bigger win.

Hopefully we can start to balance out the scoring, but for tonight, I'm more than happy with two points. :)

Glad to see Boyle finally playing with some energy. Probably fairing for his roster spot with Arnott heading over.

Nash is so good it's hard to believe at times.

Great game, but still not liking this:

Rupp and Asham - 2 minutes
Eminger and Halpern - 4 minutes

I know they won, but isn't this what got them in trouble last season? I know they will play less games this season, but isn't that something they want to avoid with the lack of conditioning from training camp? Hopefully Arnott and Kreider coming back will help in reducing the minutes that some guys play. I know the big guns have to be on the ice, but hopefuly this can give Torts some guys he will trust more in the bottom 6.

I did not notice Eminger making mistakes. I thought the 4th line looked good for the couple shifts they had. Why not play them for a few more minutes? Even if it is 8 minutes a game, it helps take a minute or 2 off guys each game. That means something in the end of games and in the long run.
