Samsonov is the only choice.

And pray he's the only goalie we see in between the pipes this playoff year. Not out of disrespect to Woll or Murray but it's generally a good sign if your not-guaranteed/questionable starter starts every game.
 
Jones, Samsonov, Woll.

There really all the same to me, anyone can show up on any given night but they are all flakes.

I'm zen about all of them, except Selena, she makes me miss April Reimer.

It's near certain that Keefe's safest play is to play Samsonov, and that's what Keefe does.

looks like someone has an agenda... Samsonov, and Woll would be lucky to get the backup role the way he's playes since coming back. Woll is playing worse than early season Samsonov
 
Is this Legal ?

play one goalie for even strength, but to sub in another goalie for the PK ?

every goalie is a bad goalie on the PK with the chances we give up.
...quick side to side WIDE open look shots are near impossible to stop.

Jones is the better EV strength goalie, but Woll is better on the PK, Sammy is the worst in every category. Sammy has a history of playoff difficulty - INCLUDING OUR TEAM LAST YEAR - INCLUDING why Washington passed on him - but we are ride or die-ing the guy.

If Jones plays well tonight I say we ride him til he loses.

Would the goalies think it's disruptive ? Probably.

I wonder if there is a rule about too many goalie changes ?

my agenda is the Leaf's win.
I can't see Sammy or Woll doing it.

Jones has done just as well as Sammy and Woll.

I really hope Jones gets the start tonight.

Jones has faced 2 shots in the playoffs since 2019, and he's a goalie that didnt get claimed in waivers on a min contract when there was a plethora of teams with goalie injuries. (most people expected him to not clear)
Jones 'should' be the #3, but, Woll has been horrible since his return.
Samsonov is the only option, and since his recall has been very good overall, save for Brodie passing to the other team's players in front of the net multiple times

Listen - I KNOW I'M DESPERATE.

But Jones played quite well for us this year.

He hasn't seen much NHL action for a while now. So that alone probably means he's out.

Unless he plays tonight.

Jones played okay at best.
the team played a lot harder in front of him for his first dozen starts (desperation), and when they didnt, he looked questionable
He's positionally sound, but too slow in his reactions to be effective.

other than fixing the Defense, we really need to sort out the net, as its obviously not Woll as a #1.

Its a frightening thought, but, I can see a feeler sent out to/from Dubas for a discounted Jarry
 
Wolls chance was last night and while I don't blame him for the team defense in the second period he had to grab the ring and he missed. Sammy in game 1 unless he gets hurt tonight.

That's what I am hoping for again !

I see two pieces of paper taped on the wall outside the Leaf's locker room.
One has the forwards grouped in 3s and the other has them in groups of 4. And all the players are looking at the foresomes.

I'd put up a 3rd. "BRUINS THREW THEIR LAST TWO GAMES SO THEY COULD FACE YOU IN ROUND #1 INSTEAD OF TAMPA".

The only way they show up is if Swayman/Ullmark do not. I expect we will see much of the same from the core, worse if playoff Rielly is nowhere to be found. He has been bad since he returned from his injury.
