I’ll be at the game….center ice 14th row players benches side.
is knies in?
is knies in?
I am all for icing a Marlies-Growlers team, and I'm prepared to play in net if need be to keep Samsonov and Woll safe and healthy. No cap left to pay me? That's fine, just take care of my LCBO tab for the next 3 months and some Keg gift certificates and we'll be good with it.can we field a pre-season roster for this and all the remaining games?
Unconfirmed but I would assume no given that he really hasn't had time to get acclimated.I’ll be at the game….center ice 14th row players benches side.

Nope. It's either 4 goal debut or bust.If Knies is even 25% as good as Matthews 4G x .25 = 1 goal
Lets set realistic expectations and go with 1G game 1.
Knies is a shiny enough new toy that these games are very interesting all of a sudden, assuming he plays of course.I am all for icing a Marlies-Growlers team, and I'm prepared to play in net if need be to keep Samsonov and Woll safe and healthy.
Next best option would be just to forfeit the remaining games and ensure everyone is healthy and rested..
Honestly, other than being pumped to see Knies, I don't look forward to these remaining games.
I'm really hoping that they end up as 2nd WC and the Bruins have to face them to in Round 1I'm dark horsing the NYI
I agree expectations are WAY to highSo many people are going to be disappointed in Knies tonight with their horribly unrealistic expectations.
He should be really good……in 2-3 years.
What are the 'expectations'?I agree expectations are WAY to high
Logical, but I’d there’s any profile of a player ready to go, you’d have to think a perfectly fit 21-yr old full of p&v after a tough loss would be the profile to have enough adrenaline to want it and do it. Me, I’d be exhausted. Him? Prolly ready to skate through brick walls.I would be shocked if Knies draws in tonight. It would honestly be very hard to believe, considering the last 48 hours he's had, and that he hasn't had a single practice with them yet.
Definitely interested to see him in our lineup. I do think he needs to be given Top 6 to see what he can handle, but I see him with Tavares and Marner. I think he will benefit from the pace that Tavares plays with to start, and that their styles would mesh together well.
I think Marner is critical to play with them as well, as Marner creates an enormous amount of space for his linemates and the man can pass the puck through a sewing needle. Just an unreal on-ice awareness that I think someone as raw as Knies will be will also give him some room to find himself.
All in all, glad Knies is with us, and looking forward to seeing his Leafs journey begin.
Go Leafs Go!
Iam hoping he plays good defensively goes to the net and brings it physically anything more is a bonusWhy are people suggesting their are high expectations for Knies? Are any of you expecting him to come in and light the league on fire? If he can come in and be a complimentary piece to what is a pretty solid team, that would be great. If you are expecting more than that, you're going to be disappointed.
Where are you seeing this? Only in a few people's minds, as it has definitely not been written on here.I agree expectations are WAY to high
I hope he scores 22 and wins the Conn Smythe.Hope he scores 15 goals in the playoffs this year.

He will be good before that but I doubt he is first line material this yearSo many people are going to be disappointed in Knies tonight with their horribly unrealistic expectations.

So in other words a normal night. LolI think this is going to be one of those nights where we won't know which Leaf team will show up.
Panthers are desperate and will be looking to drag the Leafs into a fight which they may not be interested in joining in.
Roster has come a long wayJust a reminder, this was your opening night lineup.
Bunting-Matthews-Marner
Nylander-Tavares-Malgin
Engvall-Kerfoot-Jarnkrok
AstonReese-Kampf-AubeKubel
Rielly-Brodie
Muzzin-Holl
Giordano-Sandin
Murray
Samsonov
A little help here, I can’t tell if you are serious or joking.Where are you seeing this? Only in a few people's minds, as it has definitely not been written on here.
Dangerously close to strawman territory.
Hope he scores 15 goals in the playoffs this year.
Why are you guys setting the bar so low?I hope he scores 22 and wins the Conn Smythe.
