It’s not just a fourth line, it’s an IDENTITY line. Whatever PR guy invented that term to justify a 10mil 4th line needs a raise.

Rolling 4 lines for the leafs would be something like

Bertuzzi - Matthews - reaves
Jarnkrok - Tavares - robertson
Gregor - Domi - marner
Knies - kampf - Nylander

I guess it’s possible, but you’d want the big 4 to get more ice time than this

I've been asking to see the three 11 AAV players on 3 different lines and max out their mins at about 20 mins each (on average)

Knies - Matthews-Nylander
Robertson- Tavares - Jankrok (put speed on Tavares' wings)
Bertuzzi-Domi-Marner


Its really gonna create a match-up headache for opposition. They will have to choose. At least one of the three lines can easily feast offensively on opposition.

when we put big 4 on 2 lines they are really easy to defend IMO and we don't have enough fire power on the 3rd line.

I agree sammy looks mentally shattered. but....

Leafs play in the d-zone is worthy. Sammy ain't a top notch goalie who is going to put on a show. he is an average goalie who will put up average stats. Team's play has to improve defensively.

They're fine but Bertuzzi Tavares Nylander were rolling. They looked their best when they were together.

or just stay the course. we played a dominant win last game and are down by 1 goal with both of our top 6 lines having scored a goal each already and matthews hitting 2 pots... no need to switch things for no reason at all
