Saw we were up 1-0, and doubling them in shots (roughly) and came in here and it’s meltdown mode lol

Outplaying them overall for sure... but a lot of the little details continue to be ignored. Poor defensive positioning here and there, terrible PP, good PK though and Woll looks steady.

CBC and Sportsnet have become a joke. Every hockey intermission is them talking about identity politics. People watch sports to escape all this shit.

I love TSN.

I mostly agree ... like I was saying and im sorry I because wasn't trying to stir the pot about this subject... but with a lot of it being paid for by tax payers ...everyone has their right to hate it or love it.

CBC is known for hockey night in Canada but it's always been there to convey Canadian culture and that's something to be proud of too. They do it during hockey games because most of us all love hockey regardless of where we live in the country.

I'll end it there lol

The most hilarious thing to see is all the posters who are "let's wait until the playoffs" types are the ones who want the Leafs to open up and bury this team. Never stop, HFBoards,, never stop......
They've held the isles to 13 shots in 2 periods. Terrible!
They should sacrifice defense and throw woll to the wolves.

Not as happy with 2nd, not even because they played bad, they didn't they were VERY solid.

I'm just Not totally comfortable with a 1-0 lead and a goalie in his 2nd NHL game in net.

I'd like that 2-0 goal please and thank-you

They're booing. Islanders fans are classless garbage they'll never get over it

quite frankly i don't blame them.

if matthews kept sayin in season "my heart is with the leafs, its the business but i really want to re-sign. we'll see what happens etc..." and then went on to sign with another team I would be livid and boo the F outta him everytime he visited Toronto

I'm thinking the team has taken the next step in development. They are defending properly and are playing the games the right way. I think once this becomes second nature the offense will slowly come back. They have always been able to score, now they can defend as well, it will take just a little more time to put both together.

Team is playing well defensively, I’ll give them that. Keeping plays to the outside and clearing the front for Woll.

But man, Keefe needs to put Marner and Tavares together. They were clicking, I thought Keefe was supposed to be less stubborn?

was reading shanny's interview recently. he kept saying how scotty bowman on purpose created adversity in season to keep them on their toes so that when playoffs came they were ready for it and it was 2nd nature where they wouldn't be phased by any adversity

Keefe is the new bowman :sarcasm:

:laugh;

You laugh, but there is something to that. We cannot say that this team excels in tough situations... in fact they have been failing miserably.

I feel it is something this group would not be adverse to. Shanahan played for Scottie (obviously), so why not try something like that. I also like the mixing it up so players are comfortable playing with everyone else on the roster... when that moment comes for whatever reason, everyone should be more comfortable and more confident.

If Leafs continue to play this solid on D... I'm cool with not needing 5 goals every game to win. That's a good sign.

In saying that... sometimes 5 goals would be cool too.

Wow the woman on the panel is so insightful. "If you watch Matthews closely this season, he's so good at lifting opponents stick"....He's been doing that literally since his first NHL game. The goal where he undressed Karlsson is a prime example. Lady you aren't seeing anything we haven't been enjoying watching for the last 5 years.
