Jumbo has been a detriment to that 1st line tonight, hasn't happened much this season. Maybe he needs a break. Would like to see Hyman on there for the rest of the night.

Have to hand it to Marner, when he is on offensively he is one of the best, when he is not, he is brutal lol. But one thing that never drops for him is his defensive play.

Seems every year Matthews starts the season an absolute beast, as do the leafs.

But then after a few weeks he gets some lingering nagging injury, and becomes "good", not "great". Then the team becomes relatively average.

Matthews lingering injury came later than usual this year.
You forgot, he sits out a few games and we play really well, he comes back and then we bite it.

Third line has been consistently great since they've been put together. Really need Engvall to get better at face offs though.
When Simmonds comes back I would put him on one of the top two lines

Get Thornton off the top line if he doesn’t want to work. I’ve seen enough. Doesn’t look like an NHLer at the moment.

Leafs allowed 1 shot in 9 minutes. Make the save on the PK. It’s absolutely on Andersen.

Just because the timing was important doesn’t mean he sucks for not saving that. One goal was a double tip on PP and the 2nd was a was a weird bounce and Morgan stood there trying to figure out where the puck was and it was too late

He's not a bad goalie, but there is no way we win a Cup with him in my opinion. Jack gives me better vibes.
Great teams have won with average goalies. That second goal he let in isn't too blame-worthy but you'd like to see him make better use of his big frame. With Campbell, you at least open up some space to strengthen your team elsewhere or run a good 1A/1B tandem
