We'll need to dig deep for the 3 games upcoming vs Winnipeg, but then finally we are gonna get some rest. A few guys could really use it to help nurse their injuries

If you were Keefe, what would you say in the intermission? It would be one thing if the Leafs weren't sticking to the game plan, but tonight they're just overall sloppy and unable to go tape to tape on 6 foot passes

Not sure what needs to be said, just make smart adjustments based on who is playing well.

Sit Matthews (still badly injured) and Thornton (advanced age).

Well I guess at least we're not giving up grade A chances but still come on guys.

Well we sucked pretty hard that period. Lucky to have the lead.

I'd say I hope they come out strong in the third, but I really expect very little at this point so I will just be praying that they can barely hold on.

I never understood that narrative, regarding playing well defensively in our end , always hear that and when a team is playing the way we are in that period , should be more said that we are hanging on for dear life and our Goaler ? ( old Term lol) is saving our ass

I think this is our worst meter reading all season. Props to the Canucks for tilting the ice on us without even having Petey.

Jumbo won't do as a winger on Matthews line full time. He will have some spurts because his natural talent is still there, but I think long term it won't work. Hopefully Dubie is looking around for another forward.

It's very bizarre to watch. I know momentum changes are huge in hockey. But the leafs are quite literally playing like they all got drunk during the intermission. Even when there's no pressure on them they fumble the puck or pass it to nobody.

They look out of sorts for sure.
