Hello lounge...

Normally don't come in here but so bored at work lately.... i need a new job..

What's your job now, if you don't mind me asking?

Nah, you don't, but picturing some gangster getting out of his hummer, kicking his door open, and then hopping on his computer to stop trolls just makes me giggle

You got to have a real passion for hockey talk and dedication to the Forums to be a mod. It's not all just banning trolls.

... Who am I kidding, that's all I do.

.

I'm a computer programmer, but i work at a non programming workplace, I only do in house applications and am the only programmer. So when i finish everything that i currently have going usually takes awhile to get new tasks...(teach me to make everything run so smoothly...)

I feel that happens at a lot of places. There's a bunch of jobs handed to you and then nothing for a while. Some of my close friends have complained about that. One of my friends just takes naps in her office and the boss doesn't care because he knows there's nothing to do. Do you have a passion for computer programming?

Main problem is i originally wanted to get into game development, alas its a hard field to get into, out of college it took me about 7 months of job searching to even find this job. I try and do more learning and things on the side but after a work day (even one when i don't do much) i just feel burned out and want to chill.

Also I wish i could take naps...

Have you thought about doing a post graduate certificate in game development or design? You should look in to it. I know some of the GTA colleges offer 1 year programs.

I am majoring in compsci. Same with the girl in my dilemma (either that or statistics).

This is a line straight out of a movie trailer...

"COMING THIS FALL...."
"You're afraid to talk to her?"
"I'm afraid I'll never see her again"
"ONE MAN, HAS HIS MOST DIFFICULT CHOICE"

If sociology is a class for you that you can chill in b/c you know things or the prof puts his notes online, go for it. The latter describes the class where me and this girl sit together. Apparently there's another one we have together right now, but I have not seen her once in two tries of finding her in that class, so if I don't see her today, I'm assuming she's just not coming to it.
I guess you go to a big school.

Thats why I love the University im in. Classes are a nice size, nothing too big or small. You basically recognize half of the people in your classes after your first year. Max class size is like 100.

Yeah same. I made friends in my school (under 3500 people total i think, about 450 in my program) really fast this semester.

You'd have to amend a declaration at a condominium to own a dog over 40 pounds. I do like pugs, but I feel like they've turned into a chick dog lately
