Are you not going to any Best Buy stores or just the 1 you went to today?

Also, I'm surprised this is first time you've ever been to Best Buy.

Do they have EB games/Gamestop out there?

Just this one. They do, they have many stores to buy games from, I just happened to walk by this one...

Is it FutureShop or BestBuy where they work on commission? Always get great service at that place. Everyone asking if they can help me find anything. I always say no, but look at their name tag to see who it was, and then when I go to pay they ask me if anyone helped me and then I just say that person's name. Move aside Good Guy Greg, there is a new guy in town!

You're not going to go to a store ever again because of 1 person?

I'm not seeing what's wrong with this. An employee of a store, business or anything that provides a product or service is a direct reflection of that company. That person is a nobody in the grand scheme of things but their actions reflected badly upon the company and that is the company's issue to determine and resolve before bad service is provided.

Meh I disagree, you could go into a store and get the worst service of your life, and the next time, have the best service of your life.

A lot of people who work in retail are paying/saving for school. A lot don't care about ****, others (like I did) take everything seriously.

I wasn't a supervisor or anything, but I often dealt with the problems because most of our supervisors didnt care either.

I was at futureshop and I got very annoyed with this. It's good service to ask my if I need help once or twice, but if I keep telling you no I'm fine I don't want to be annoyed by the same person every 3 minutes.

So you complain when you don't get the proper help, but yet complain when they're eager to help? Doesn't make any sense.

Maybe I'm biased because I often give more effort than probably most working retail do, but I've been told numerous times how excellent my service was. My dad owns his own retail store as well and it's known for service. I probably have higher expectations when it comes recieving a certain level of service than others

It's pretty simple: If I ask for help, be happy to help. If I don't ask for help, just acknowledge I'm there and let me know that you are there to help me if the need arises. I'm not sure why you guys are getting all uptight about this with Baarle here.

What part doesn't make sense? If I ask for help as a customer the employee should be happy to assist me. If someone offers me help, I appreciate it but if I don't need it I tell them so. If they keep nagging me every few minutes I'm gonna get annoyed.

You guys need to understand, there are people like Baarle, but then there are people that constantly complain because some one wasn't there to help them.. Even though they were asked earlier. I've never been asked more then once by the same person at either store.

When I asked that I thought he meant he would never go to any Best Buy again.

I think it would be better to file a complaint or talk to a manager if it really bothers you. If you have bad service multiple times then I'd understand, but never going back after 1 bad experience because of 1 person seems a bit ridiculous to me. It is dependent on the size of the store though. If it is a small little shop where they probably only have a couple employees and I get bad service then yeah there's a far better chance I won't return. If it's a big store like Best Buy, which usually has a decent reputation, with a lot of employees then I'd be more likely to give them a 2nd chance. I worked in retail in the past and there were always some dud employees, but also lots of great employees that want to provide you with good customer service.

Just my opinion.

BB has an awful reputation. The employee is a representative of the store. If they allow people like that to work there than I don't want to spend my time there.

Agreed. All it takes is one bad experience for me to be completely turned off of a store. There's always someone else who will do the job the same if not better with a smile on their face.

But that's just me. And Baarle, apparently.

Haven't heard that before. If it does, then why did you go to one?

So what do you do if you go to Future Shop the next time and get poor service? Then what? Go to Wal-Mart and sit there and wait for some person to walk over and open the glass case? Or go to EB and cram inside of those tiny ass stores and listen to kids talk about Magic cards? I'm just saying

Eh I'm with Baarle and Hurt. Customer service is above and beyond anything else you do in retail. I get asked dumb questions when I work all the time, doesn't mean I'm going to be a dick about it.
