OT: Leafs Lounge #122: I Love Lamp

My idea last year was that every GM make their own rankings 1-29 (don't include your own team) based on who's team you think is the best and send their lists to a neutral party via PM.

For every 1st place vote, you get 29 points, 2nd place 28 points, 3rd place 29 etc. The team that finished with the most points wins as voted by fellow Gms.

People shat on the idea because they said if you have a feud with a GM (believe me there are feuds) then they will rank you last. My solution was don't have feuds. If everyone gets along, then everyone is judged correctly and there isn't as much whining and *****ing. Kind of keep the integrity of the game I guess.

But still got a big fat no.

Phion won with a top line and a 2nd line centre who is a first line centre.

I lost with the best goalie in the league and 2 of the best defensemen in the league + oodles of depth. It's bs I tell you

I'm sure I would have a little bias, but not on purpose, I would still try to keep the integrity of it if we did it that way. Shame that others can't do it because it really is the easiest and probably the best way.

Do all trades need to be equal players each side? Like no 3 players for 1 type deals? Or can you have less if you choose as long as you have a full lineup come judging time?

Don't rank the teams rank the players.

Then total up the teams.

12 players per team.

Post polls on the leafs board.

#1 ranked player gets 360pts
#360 ranked player gets 1pt.
Then add up the teams.


Highest total wins.

Trick is;
Draft is done before rankings are made.

I'm sorry, but that is ridiculous. Would never fly. NO one would be able to grade the players 1-360 or whatever. That is worse than grading the 30 teams.
