Last time the only time it was vetoed was when it was a drastic screw job. If not, you dig your own hole.

Yes. A lot of the drama has to do with the veto system. Generally the Commish can veto especially if he gets support from a bunch of Gm's. That can turn into an all out war sometimes deciding if a trade is valid. I ran one last year and it was honestly so stressful. (It has to be a pretty bad trade though)

What if we used some random rating system of players then simply added up the players?
BY random, I mean have an elimination tournament to determine player value/rank.
Total the rank of every player on a team to determine winner.
Draft open to only GM's, but ranking open to entire Leafs board.

My second go I had Chara, Weber and Quick
My idea last year was that every GM make their own rankings 1-29 (don't include your own team) based on who's team you think is the best and send their lists to a neutral party via PM.
For every 1st place vote, you get 29 points, 2nd place 28 points, 3rd place 29 etc. The team that finished with the most points wins as voted by fellow Gms.
People shat on the idea because they said if you have a feud with a GM (believe me there are feuds) then they will rank you last. My solution was don't have feuds. If everyone gets along, then everyone is judged correctly and there isn't as much whining and *****ing. Kind of keep the integrity of the game I guess.
But still got a big fat no.
