No 5 on 5 goals in a while. Lack of offense is a big issue. They need to get Domi, Robertson and McMann going bad.

Bad games will happen though, c'est la vie.

Domi and Robertson were buzzing but they look like roller hockey players out there. McMann had a couple of coherent looks but looks like maybe last year was a mirage.

He’s a bottom 6 forward why he’s in the top 6 is beyond me

Congratulations to the Ottawa Senators

Injuries are catching up to us. Team has been struggling 5 on 5 and without Matthews, Pacioretty, and yes Jarnkrok (despite not having played) the forward group is rough. Domi has been a ghost for a while, McMann and Robertson can’t score anymore, Holmberg is a bum, and the fourth line will never get anything offensively.

Leafs desperately need help up front.

I only caught the first and the very end. Can’t say I have much to add here, but lack of anything from Nylander sometimes is really annoying. All the talent in the world and he’s just coasting sometimes. Not to single him out though, as it appears everyone was shit. Or should I say, they didn’t really give a shit. Like Nylander lol.

Hard to win a game when you don’t show up and win battles. Seems they were never in the game.

How are we the only team to beat Winnipeg? lol

It is what it is, hopefully they show up tomorrow.

3rd line has been terrible since last years playoffs. Holmberg and Robertson need to start contributing a bit. Coaches yell at players since you're like 10 years old to not turn the puck over at both bluelines and just get it in deep if you don't have a play and all we did especially early in the game was turn it over at the bluelines. Top 6 looked terrible but i'll give them a pass because they've been pretty good recently, especially on the PP. Holmberg, Robertson and McMann need to start providing some depth scoring or we need to move on from them because we're almost 20 games in and we got 4 goals total from them and only 6 points and a majority of those goals and points are from McMann. Hopefully Steeves gets a chance tomorrow while he's up here to see if he can provide something.

As I said in the game day thread.

It was very clear they did not give a single f*** tonight.

However at the same time let's be honest like I also said in the game day thread if you told us they'd go 3-1 in this 4 game Atlantic division swing we'd all take it.

They did what they needed to do on this homestand.

Props to Ottawa, they showed up and totally dominated.
This is where you start to really feel the absence of Matthews and us continuing to win without him isn't that sustainable.
We're going to have to make a deal at some point this season to bring in another quality offensive player because our depth doesn't look like it will be good enough.
It’s hard to compete when you have 13 million worth of cap space not available
