Why is this team so bad on Saturday nights? 5 losses over the last 6 Hockey Nights in Canada. Just shitting the bed every weekend for a national audience.
This game was sunk by our PP.
Vancouver wasn't really doing much and we had three powerplays and didn't even get a single shot on two of them. If we plan on going deep this playoffs, our PP coming through is a must but it's struggled the past few playoffs.
We badly miss McCabe also.
Steelers look almost as bad as the Leafs. When Rielly, Matthews, Marner, JT, Willy, Domi, OEL, Pacioretty and Lorentz all look like they'd rather be anywhere else you aren't going to win.
It doesn't all fall on him, but Hildeby, dude, you can't be letting in a goal on the first shot, a goal with less than 2 minutes in the second and an opening minute goal in the 3rd.
I'd tell McMann, Nicky Bobby, Kampf, Dewar, Knies Benoit, Tanev, Hildeby, Timmins and Myers to take tomorrow off and chillax and bag skate the names I mentioned earlier.
Congrats to anyone who bet on the Canucks, now to Baltimore-Pittsburgh.
The good news is that Canada is a lock to win the 4 Nations next month. Everyone is worried about Team USA but I'm not at all concerned about any team with Matthews as one of its leaders. Has never won a thing in his career and isn't about to start now.To many useless players in the top 6 taking all the cap space and producing nothing.
Bottom six isn't the biggest problem when the top 6 can barely produce in a number of games when they're paid so much money to do so.
When your top six bends you over the negotiating table, they do in fact need to score every game. It's literally their fault that the team can't buy a better supporting cast.Your top six isn’t going to score every game. In the ones they can’t, you expect your bottom six to create energy and get a greasy one or two

Our PP sucks bc of lack of movement. The guys were not moving their feet. When our PP is clicking, the boys were moving. This game was sunk by our PP.

RIP to a real one bobba
Yea, they can't so they shouldn't take up almost half the cap. There is no money left for good players in the bottom 6.
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon buddy!yea there is not one positive to take from this game, that was brutal from start to finish, see everyone on Tuesday!
As a Steeler fan, I'm going 0 for 2 tonight and don't think either team will break the shutout. When Rielly, Matthews, Marner, JT, Willy, Pacioretty, Domi, Lorentz look like they'd rather be anywhere else you aren't winning.
It doesn't all fall on him but Hildeby is having a bad problem with ill timed goals. You can't be letting the first shot in, one with less than 2 minutes left in the second and an opening minute goal in the 3rd.
I'd tell McMann, Nicky Bobby, Kampf, Dewar, Knies, Benoit, Timmins and Myers to take tomorrow off and chillax and tell the other guys I listed we practice at 8 AM.

I don’t know. It appears they’ve made a decision to move away from Saturday home games. This year the Leafs scheduler is treating Saturday night is like it’s WednesdayWhy is this team so bad on Saturday nights? 5 losses over the last 6 Hockey Nights in Canada. Yeah. I WOULDHas any team fired the pp coach during the season ?
Well, they do know how to bring it in their contract seasons. If they pay Tavares based on his stats this season, they've truly learned nothing. Most negotiations start high, ours just end there. It’s not on them to manage the cap. Their job in a negotiation is to get the most money.
The Leafs have advanced more than Steelers in the past few years. As a Steeler fan, I'm going 0 for 2 tonight and don't think either team will break the shutout.
